3/9/2021 (Permalink)
Mold can be a common issue in homes, and while it may not always be dangerous, it can cause structural damage to your home. If you suspect mold the best thing to do is to address the issue as quickly as you can. Here are some signs that you have might have a mold problem.
Mold Spores
Once you see mold, you already have a big problem on your hands. The spores you see are just the "tip of the iceberg". Simply scrubbing with soap won't get rid of the mold. If you see visible mold, reach out to a mitigation company as soon as possible.
Musty or Damp Smell
If you notice a moldy or musty smell, it might be an indicator of a mold problem.
History of Flooding
Past flooding could lead to future mold problems. Mold can be a long term problem after the flooding takes places. If you know your home has flooded in the past, you might want to have your home checked for mold, even if you didn't see any immediately after the flooding
