Fire in local school

A student set fire to a toilet paper dispenser causing a big mess at a local school here in Simpson County. SERVPRO of Christian, Todd, Logan & Simpson County had performed work for the School System before so School Officials contacted us and we were on the scene within 1 hour to begin work.

After all of the debris was picked up, our crew began cleaning up the soot and setting negative air equipment to remedy the odor caused by the smoke. It was a priority to get things in order so that the regular school day would not be interrupted. 

Storm Team to the rescue

Hurricane Harvey hit Texas in August leaving chaos in its path. The local SERVPRO franchises were inundated with more claims than they could handle.  SERVPRO of Christian, Todd, Logan and Simpson Counties sent several crew members to help out during the disaster. 

The kitchen of this home had so much water that the baseboard and drywall had to be cut as high as 4ft. up in some areas and removed due to integrity of the materials.

Our crew was in the area for over 3 weeks helping homeowners get their homes dried out and cleaned up.

Moldy Living Room in Simpson County

The wall in this Living Room in this home was starting to mold due to a leak in the water line from the kitchen. The flooring and drywall as well as the studs in the wall were showing mold growth and had to be taken care of. Our SERVPRO of Christian, Todd, Logan and Simpson Counties crew was able to cut out the affected flooring and drywall, sand down the studs to get rid of the mold. With that complete we were able to seal all the wood with antimicrobial paint and seal it all of until the new drywall could be put in place. The customer has a young child and was very grateful to have the fungus taken care of.

Making it Happen at Storm

When we arrive in town for Storm there are times when the neighborhoods aren't accessible due to water in outlying areas that prevent us from getting to them. That doesn't stop our diligent crew members from doing all they can to make it work.

In this photo one of our production crew members was dead set on taking care of our customer as soon as possible. It meant parking over a mile away and dragging equipment in a piece at a time to make sure work was started.

Water Leads to Mold Growth

The wall in this home is covered in mold due to high humidity after a water heater busted. It only takes 3 days for mold to begin to grow and it can be a major concern for people with respiratory or allergy issues. SERVPRO of Christian, Todd, Logan and Simpson Counties was on the job and ready to fight those mold spores within hours of the call. The flooring and walls of the Laundry Room were also affected and we had to cut out drywall and tear out flooring to get to the source. We were able to get everything wiped down and sprayed an antimicrobial to help prevent future regrowth. After setting negative air machines for a couple of days were were able to get rid of the musty odor and had the home looking good as new. 

Chimney Fire in Franklin, KY

The Living Room in the Franklin, KY home was affected when the chimney caught fire and smoked up the entire home. When our SERVPRO of Christian, Todd, Logan & Simpson Counties crew arrived on site they began cleaning up the debris immediately. Luckily the worst of the damage was in the chimney and outside where the debris fell on the deck and in the yard. We were able to get all of the contents moved around and cleaned as well as cleaning up the walls, ceiling and floors of soot an debris. The homeowner was very happy when we were done and it looked as though nothing had ever happened.

Doing What it Takes

This is a photo of one of our team members doing what he had to do to get equipment to a customer's house during Storm. Dragging a dehumidifier is no easy task, but he wasn't about to give up!

Moldy Floor

The hot water heater had leaked in this Kentucky home for an undetermined amount of time causing mold to grow under the several layers of flooring. SERVPRO of Christian, Todd, Logan, Simpson and Warren Counties was able to remove the affected flooring and make this homeowner very happy!

Water had leaked into the wall cavity of this office in Kentucky causing mold growth. SERVPRO of Christian, Todd, Logan, Simpson and Warren Counties was able to remove the drywall and insulation, clean up the mold and spray antimicrobial to help prevent future mold growth.

Outside Water Spigot Floods Basement

The bedroom in Simpson County Kentucky basement was saturated with water when the outside water spigot busted and sent water pouring. AC Leak causes mold behind drywall

The AC unit leaked in this Kentucky home causing mold to form behind the drywall. Our SERVPRO team was able to remove the drywall and some flooring in order to remediate the mold and make the home safe again.

The wall in this Kentucky bedroom had mold growth beneath the Wallpaper. The homeowner was remodeling the room for their newest family member when they found the nasty invader lurking on the wall. SERVPRO was able to take care of the problem in time for them to welcome home their new baby!

There were 2 apartments affected when a water line burst in the bathroom of one apartment. The tenants contents were saturated and had to be moved in order to begin the drying process. While part of the crew met with the manager and got paperwork signed and explained the process to everyone involved, the rest of the team set to work.

SERVPRO of Christian, Todd, Logan and Simpson Counties was proud to be a Hole Sponsor at this Weeks JT Graham Memorial Golf Tournament. It was a beautiful day and we were happy to provide cold water and golf towels to several people.  We enjoy being a part of the Community and helping out with any worthy cause.

Flood in St. Louis

The basement of this home was flooded after several days of rain caused the Storm Drains to back up. SERVPRO of Christian, Todd, Logan and Simpson Counties was onsite along with other Storm Teams to help the citizens of St. Louis and the surrounding areas get back in their homes.

Brag N' Rights Golf Classic

Our Sales Marketing Representative A.J Gilbert was present at the Brag N' Rights Golf Classic in Hopkinsville, KY. The Golf Tournament was a benefit for the local Chamber of Commerce. Our Marketing Team was there to hand out chips, crackers and cold water to anyone in attendance as well as giving out helpful hints on how to protect your property again water and fire damage.

Ohio Storm

This basement in Cleveland was had several inches of standing water before we arrived on the scene. Several Storm Teams were called in to help with the many claims that were coming in. SERVPRO of Warren County is proud to be available when other communities are in need.

Fort Campbell Kentucky

Our Marketing Team visited Fort Campbell in Hopkinsville, KY last week as part of the tour of our new franchise counties. This was an excellent opportunity for us to make businesses on base aware of our services and get to know part of our new community.
