IICRC

SERVPRO Of Christian, Todd, Logan and Simpson Counties recently purchased several dozen new Velo Air Movers in order to keep up with industry standards. These pieces of equipment are lighter and more efficient than the old air movers that we are phasing out.

We follow stringent guidelines set in place by IICRC in order to keep receiving business from local vendors and offices.

Along with our state of the art equipment, we also have highly trained technicians that have to follow the IICRC standards when performing any work on Water/Fire Mitigation or Mold Remediation claims. Our crew is IICRC certified to remediate water losses and has to maintain this training by doing follow up classes every 2 years.  It is our goal to do things the right way the first time in order to keep our business thriving and our customers happy

As we all know Winter is on its way, SERVPRO recommends that you take steps to make sure that you don't have issues with frozen water lines.

Frozen water lines can lead to burst water line and that leads to water loss.  Here are a few tips to help you avoid frozen pipes.

1. Insulate Pipes

2. Use Heat Tape or cables

3. Seal leaks

4. Secure outdoor hoses, faucets and valves

5. Let water drip slightly in sinks

6. Adjust Thermostat

7. Open cabinet doors at all water sources such as kitchen and bathroom sinks

These are just a few easy ideas to help you avoid not only the inconvenience but also the expense of frozen or burst water lines.

Kentucky SERVPRO Managers Meeting

Ron Morehead and Steve Guice from SERVPRO Trainership in Alabama came to Bowling Green to host a Kentucky Managers Meeting. There were managers from all of the SERVPRO franchises in Kentucky present to take part in this event. SERVPRO strives to be the best and in order to be the best you have to train the best, therefore, they spend hours every year bringing resources and helpful tips to become better Managers and better teams. We want to succeed in this business and that is why we sent 4 of our employess to represent our Warren County SERVPRO as well as to gain valuable information to bring back to the rest of the Office and Crew. Everyone enjoyed the time to socialize with other franchise members as well.
