Ice Storm Awareness
2/2/2022 (Permalink)
Have you ever experienced an ice storm? If you have you know how damaging they can be. Often times it can mean a loss of power from fallen trees and power lines which in turn can lead to frozen water lines due to lack of heat.
Prepare ahead of time for an ice storm event.
Below are some tips for making sure your family and home are protected.
1. Stay inside and dress in warm, layered clothing.
2. Close off unneeded rooms.
3. If using an alternate heat source, follow all manufacturer safety suggestions.
4. Place towels and rags under doors to keep heat in.
5. Make sure you have an adequate supply of flashlights, batteries, bottled water, non perishable food, medicines and the availability of a tv or weather radio.
6. Remember your pets!
If you have issues and need assistance we are available 24/7/365.
