Indoor mold growth can and should be prevented or controlled by controlling the moisture indoors.

There are many ways to help control the moisture.

1. Fix any leaks or seepage. This could be as simple as rerouting gutters or landscaping.

2. Place a vapor barrier over dirt in crawl space.

3. Use exhaust fans in kitchen and bath when steam is present.

4. Vent your clothes dryer to the outside.

5. Use dehumidifiers and air conditioners in hot, humid climates.

These simple steps can save you great concern and cost later on.  Your house is your largest investment so make sure you protect it!
