Frozen Pipes

As we face much cooler temperatures again this coming weekend, SERVPRO recommends that you take steps to make sure that you don't have issues with frozen water lines.  

Frozen water lines can lead to burst water line and that leads to water loss.  Here are a few tips to help you avoid frozen pipes.

1. Insulate Pipes

2. Use Heat Tape or cables

3. Seal leaks

4. Secure outdoor hoses, faucets and valves

5. Let water drip slightly in sinks

6. Adjust Thermostat

7. Open cabinet doors at all water sources such as kitchen and bathroom sinks

These are just a few easy ideas to help you avoid not only the inconvenience but also the expense of frozen or burst water lines.
