Does Your Family Have a Plan?

Does your family have a plan in case of fire?  Do your young children know what to do and have they practiced that plan?  

Here are just a few suggestions to help keep your family safe in case of a fire emergency!

Install alarms on every level of your home. Check your batteries at least twice a year. 

Purchase and make sure you know how to use a quality fire extinguisher.

As a family, create a plan in case of fire. Walk through your home with your children and inspect all possible exits and escape routes.

Consider drawing a map of your home including 2 ways out of each room.  Include doors and windows.  This can help a child remember in an emergency situation.

Create a safe meeting space.  If a fire occurs GET OUT and STAY OUT.  Go straight to meeting space.

Practice, practice, practice!!
